Maria Kataja is a Fashion Designer and Creative Brand Marketer hailing from Helsinki, Finland. She graduated as a Master of Arts at the University of Lapland Fashion Design as her major. She has been working on projects from work wear to technical and luxury outerwear as well as casual clothing as a freelancer and in-house designer.

She thrives her inspiration from her travels and the people she meets. Kataja’s design ideology is to make functional and timeless clothing that endure the test of time. Ecological materials and sustainability in design are things that she values the most. Action sports have always played a big role in her life, which brings up the enthusiasm and creativity as a designer. Snowboarding has been a way of living for her over two decades, which culture shows in many of her designs.
